Gempa bumi berkekuatan M8.3 mengguncang 2013 Sea of Okhotsk Earthquake pada kedalaman 10 km. Peristiwa seismik early 21st century ini dicatat dan dianalisis oleh Survei Geologi Amerika Serikat.This earthquake occurred in a subduction zone, where one plate descends beneath another into the mantle. Subduction zones generate the planet's most powerful earthquakes.
